As many of you know from previous emails and blog entries, we are moving into our RV full time. We own it so can live in it cheap rather than continuing in an apartment and, of course, the ministry of RV Ministries depends on the coach!
Well our RV home has troubles. My husband served on the spiritual team for Cursillo this weekend and due to health issues slept in the RV rather than on the floor. The RV had to be moved from where I’d parked it as the church needed to remove a tree. Glen does not drive the RV but found some help. I don’t know that the following caused the problem but….he started the engine without pulling up the jacks. This caused the jacks to pop up quickly. They then moved the RV a short distance without pulling in the slide. I did not think about it at the time but on the flat this should not have been a problem but the coach was on a severe slope. When Glen tried to lower the jacks they failed to function so he just lived with the heavy slant. Saturday evening when Jenn and I arrived the jacks would not function and Sunday as we prepared to leave neither would the slide. We left it there and went back to the apartment we will be leaving before the end of the month.
Monday we drove back down and tried stuff – put a solid charge on the barries, cleaned the terminals, checked the fuses, etc even talked with a repair tech who confirmed we’d tried all the things we could. Now we will need to call a repair person out to the Tacoma location of the RV some 50 miles from the apartment.
We have no idea what this may cost but do know that our extended warranty will pay for most to all of the cost but this is a reimbursement and we don’t have the funds to pay for the repair while we wait to be reimbursed. We will have money as of the 27th but really need to move out of the apartment the 23rd as we can get help to move that weekend and need to be able to live in the coach to move out!
So… we need urgent temporary financial help as we can repay any loaned funds no later than July 1st.
Please pray…this is an easy inexpensive fix that is completely covered by the warranty and finally, that the repairs can be done quickly so we can get moved into the coach before the end of the month. If the coach cannot be repaired on location, it will be in the shop and we won’t be able to live in it. EEK!
