Needed to do a bit of laundry. The other day we were gone from early morning until late afternoon which is much longer than we have left Ginger for in many moons. We knew it would be long so we left the bathroom door open with the fan going, all the windows open and the fan on in the galley too for maximum airflow. Unfortunately the dear dog pushed past the bathroom door to get to the bedroom allowing the door to swing open again after she passed but this trapped her in the bedroom. She is generally really good but likely became anxiety ridden as we came home to a wet bed. OOPS! Now why am I telling you this?
As we were putting the laundry in and getting change I noticed a lady who was having breathing troubles. I asked her if she needed help. At first she said no but I think she realized I was sincere so Jenn and I assisted her to separate two bins that were wedged tight and helped move her things near to a chair so she could be comfortable while folding. Our offer of blessings was readily accepted. She doesn’t know it yet but she’ll get help when she is ready to go to her car!
She shared that she just got out of the hospital. Helping load her car I had the opportunity to pray with her.
Some would say “of course you do this sort of stuff. You are a priest’s wife!” I say “no. I do it because I wish to share God’s love and you can do it too!”. Look around you. Who has God put in your path so you can offer them His love?
